Light and Life Counseling
Beth Russell, MA, NCC
What is Light and Life Counseling and who is Beth Russell?
Light and Life Counseling is based in the beautiful mountain city of Salida, Colorado. We are surrounded by towering mountains and situated on the banks of the Arkansas River. A perfect place to come out of the darkness of emotional, spiritual, or psychological difficulties and start walking in the light of truth and wholeness.
I have lived in Salida since 1994 with my husband and family. I have been married since 1985 and am mother to six children. I have experienced many of the ups and downs of marriage and parenting. I chose to attend Adams State University for an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling because of their reputation for excellence in counselor education and their accreditation. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Registered Psychotherapist in the State of Colorado. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I have been practicing under supervision since January, 2012. Much of that time was spent working in addictions counseling. In 2013, I became the director of the Salida Pregnancy Resource Center which has changed my focus to families and relationships. Healthy relationships are the foundation of a healthy life. I am a member of the Chaffee County Early Childhood through which I have gained much post graduate learning in Early Childhood and Infant Mental Health. I am contracted with First St Family Health to provide Behavioral Health Care Management in the office for all ages.
